About FIDELA

The organizing committee of the Second Interreligious Forum of the Americas (FIDELA) is composed of representatives of the co-organizers: Prof. Azza Karam, Dr. Karen Hernandez, and Thomas Keppen of Religions for Peace (RfP); Elias Szcztnicki, of RfP and the Latin American and Caribbean Council of Religious Leaders (LACCRL); Prof. W. Cole Durham, Jr., president of the G20 Interfaith Forum Association (IF20); Prof. Katherine Marshall, senior fellow at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs at Georgetown University, and executive director of the World Faiths Development Dialogue; Prof. Gary B. Doxey, associate director of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies at BYU Law School (ICLRS); and Swami Mahayogananda, of the Interreligious Council of Southern California (ICSoCal). Additionally, various religions, religious organizations, and academic centers whose work aligns with the hemisphere’s agenda have provided support.
